Fresh Young Talent Joins New York Knicks

A graduate of Mays Business School at Texas A&M University in College Station with a master of business administration, Harvey Bell has more than 35 years of professional financial experience. A financial advisor in Short Hills, New Jersey, Harvey Bell serves as the managing director and senior portfolio manager of the Bell Team at Morgan Stanley and has been licensed since 1981. In addition to being an active participant with the American Israel Public Affairs Committee Lawfare Project, Mr. Bell enjoys following the New York Knicks of the National Basketball Association (NBA).

The New York Knicks signed Indiana University alumnus Troy Williams after beginning March on a six game winless streak. Agreeing to a two year deal, Williams initially joined the team during the 2017-2018 season when he was offered consecutive 10-day contracts by the organization.

After signing with the Memphis Grizzlies as an undrafted free agent, Williams went on to play for the Houston Rockets and gained valuable experience with their developmental affiliate, the Rio Grande Vipers of the NBA G League. Averaging 6.2 points, 2.6 rebounds, and almost one assist during the span of his 51 professional NBA games played, the 23-year-old Virginia native was crowned the NBA G League slam dunk champion in 2017 and posted a respectable average of almost 20 points per game.

Recent Campus Initiatives Undertaken by AIPAC

A former senior resident director at Merrill Lynch, Harvey Bell has served as a financial advisor at a New Jersey-based Morgan Stanley office since 2015. Beyond his work, Harvey Bell is a member of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC).

One of the ways AIPAC works to promote the relationship between the United States and Israel is through its campus initiatives. In the fall of 2017, AIPAC orchestrated a variety of efforts to encourage a bipartisan consensus among members of the College Republican National Committee and College Democrats of America. AIPAC’s campus activists were tasked with holding regular meetings between leaders in both groups and recruiting delegations to attend the 2018 AIPAC Policy Conference.

Another major nationwide campus initiative undertaken by AIPAC was the creation of a new recruitment strategy that targets politically minded upperclassmen. AIPAC also hosted political training workshops to educate new members.

Moreover, AIPAC on Campus members were asked to prepare research-backed reports that detail how the United States' relationship with Israel positively affects their communities. Projects were shared with members of Congress through a variety of social media platforms by using the hashtag #israelinmystate.
